Anemone
The plants start blooming soon after the foliage emerges from the ground. The leaves are divided into three segments and the flowers, produced on short stems, are held above the foliage with one flower per stem. They grow from underground root-like stems called rhizomesand the foliage dies back down by mid summer (summer dormant). The rhizomes spread just below the soil surface, forming long spreading clumps that grow quickly, contributing to its rapid spread in woodland conditions, where they often carpet large areas.

Mussaenda erythrophylla
These plants are native to the Old World tropics, from West Africa
through the Indian sub-continent, Southeast Asia and into southern China. The
beautiful red and yellow petals are a real showstopper. A favorite of not only
of gardeners, but also butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.

calla lilies
The calla lilies are a beautiful genus of flowers that
have been enjoyed by humans for centuries. The calla lily grows from a type of
bulb called a rhizome and produces very large green leaves, typically covered
with lighter-coloured spots. The flower blooms from the top of a rather thick
stem and sort of resembles trumpet shaped rolled paper, having a texture
ranging from rather fleshy to wet autumn leaves.
Flowers of the Cannonball Tree
This large deciduous tropical tree, 75' tall and
indigenous to the Amazon rainforest, is listed as a rare tree and flower in
India. The leaves, up to 6" long, are simple with serrate margin; it
flowers in racemes which is cauliflorus; the yellow, reddish and pink flowers
are stunning fragrant. These are 3" to 5" waxy aromatic smelling,
pink and dark-red flowers growing directly on the bark of the trunk.
Poppy
A poppy is one of a group of a flowering plants in
the poppy family, many of which are grown in gardens for their colorful
flowers. Poppies are sometimes used for symbolic reasons, such as in remembrance
of soldiers who have died during wartime.
Poppy flowers have 4 to 6 petals. The petals may be
almost any color, and some have markings. Before blooming, the petals are
crumpled in the bud, and as blooming finishes, the petals often lie flat before
falling away. A whorl of stamens is in the center of the flower.
Lotus
The Lotus
symbolizes spirituality, fruitfulness, wealth, knowledge and illumination. The
most important thing about lotus is that even after growing in murky water it
is untouched by its impurity. On the other hand the lotus symbolizes purity of
heart and mind. The National Flower 'Lotus' or water lily is an aquatic plant
of Nymphaea species with broad floating leaves and bright aromatic flowers that
grow only in shallow waters.
